Valuation Services

As a firm of chartered surveyors and land and estate agents, we provide both market appraisals as part of our agency service, and formal property valuations. But which service is right for your property/land?

A market appraisal is often what people mean when they refer to a “valuation” before selling their property or land. It’s usually offered by an estate agent before a formal instruction and includes:

• An estimated listing price based on current market conditions
• A brief overview of local market trends
• Advice on how best to position the property for sale

Market appraisals are typically free of charge, as agents hope to be instructed to sell the property.

A formal valuation—also called a Red Book Valuation—is a professional report prepared by a RICS-registered chartered surveyor in line with the RICS Valuation – Global Standards (commonly known as the “Red Book”).
